Travel Uniforms 2025-26

Uniform Deposit Policy & Next Steps (10/29 Update)

As shared during our roster announcements and player acceptance, we are implementing a Uniform Return Policy this season to help control costs and maintain accountability across the program. Each team manager has a complete list of what each returning player ordered to help facilitate the process. To ensure everyone has the same information, below is a clear overview of how this will work.

Uniform Return Policy (Returning Players Only)

All players who participated in WPAL Basketball last year and ordered any variation of new uniform gear items this season must provide a uniform deposit check based on the items that player ordered at their first practice.

Key Details:

  • Checks should be made payable to “WPAL Basketball.”
  • Checks will only be cashed if the player’s uniform from last season is not returned within 30 days of November 15th.
  • Players who do not submit a deposit check may be at risk of not participating until this requirement is met.
  • Once the previous uniform is returned, the deposit check will be returned.

For Players Who Ordered New Gear

If a returning player ordered any of the following uniform gear items, a deposit check covering the total value of those items is required:

Item

Cost

Game Jersey

$50

Game Shorts

$50

Shooting Shirt

$40

Practice Jersey

$30

Backpack

$85

The maximum deposit any player would owe is $255 if all items were ordered.

Collection Process

To make this process efficient, team managers will take the lead in collecting deposit checks from players on their teams. Each manager has been given a customized roster showing which players ordered new gear.

Here’s how the process will work:

  1. Deposit checks should be made payable to “WPAL Basketball” and turned in at the first week of practice (starting the week of November 3rd).
  2. Managers will hold all deposit checks until the new uniforms arrive (expected around November 15th).
  3. Once all new items are distributed, the returned items will be checked in. When complete, deposit checks will be returned to families whose prior uniforms were turned in.

Support for Managers

To help our volunteer managers, we’re sending this message program- wide so everyone is aware and prepared. Please bring your check to your first scheduled practice to make this process smooth and efficient. Managers are not collections agents - your cooperation is greatly appreciated in helping make this seamless for all teams. Each team manager has a complete list of what each returning player ordered to help keep everything organized and running smoothly.

Thank you for your attention and for helping us stay organized as we kick off the season. Your support allows us to keep the program running smoothly and fairly for everyone.

2025–26 Basketball Uniform Ordering Process

Please review the following instructions for this season’s uniform and gear ordering process. Be sure to follow the steps that apply to your player(s). Our goal is to make the process efficient and cost-effective for all families.

Uniform Fittings at ASF

We’ve partnered again with ASF Sports & Outdoors to handle uniform fittings and orders.  ASF will have a file that lists your player’s name, number, and uniform information to outline what your player needs so no forms are needed from you.

What You Need to Do

✅ Returning Players (Same Team, Uniform Fits)

  • No visit to ASF is required unless you want to purchase extra uniform gear.
  • Keep your current uniform, practice jersey, and backpack.
  • Example: You played on 3 Boys Blue last year and are now on 4 Boys Blue

✅ Returning Players (New Team, Outgrown or Missing Uniform)

  • Visit ASF for sizing and to order a new uniform and shooting shirt (if needed).

✅ New Players (Did Not Play Last Year)

  • Visit ASF for uniform and practice jersey sizing.
  • These items are included in your registration fee.

✅ 8th Grade Teams (8 Boys Blue & 8 Girls Blue)

  • All players (new and returning) must visit ASF for new uniform sizing.
  • A new sponsor requires all 8th grade players to receive new uniforms
  • Additional uniform gear to be purchased, if necessary.

Uniform Return Policy (Last Year Returning Players Only)

To help us control costs and ensure accountability, ALL returning players (played on a team last year) ordering a new uniform must  provide a $150 uniform deposit check at their first practice.

  • Checks for $150 should be made out to “WPAL Basketball”.  These will only be cashed if last year’s  uniform is not returned within 30 days.  Players who do not submit a deposit check may be at risk of not being allowed to participate.
  • Once the previous  uniform is returned,  your check will be returned.

A Few Key Reminders

- ASF will have all rosters and player numbers on file.
- Fittings are staggered by team to avoid crowding.
- Team managers will collect deposit checks at the first practice.

Thank you for helping us keep this process organized and efficient for everyone. If you have any questions about fittings or uniforms, please contact Greg Downes at gdownes1970@yahoo.com

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to a great season!
