FALL 2023 TRACK & FITNESS SERIES
Open to boys and girls - Grades 2 - 8

The Fall Track & Fitness Series is designed for any athletic level.
The emphasis will be on general strength and fitness for a young athlete.
We plan to introduce a series and exercises in a relaxed setting with the goal of achieving
improved fitness, general strength, and coordination.
The drills we are planning are commonplace in the sport of track and field.
If your child has an interest in the sport, wants to partake in the fitness aspect and looking for a relaxed setting,
or is currently competing in other fall events and would like to prepare for the upcoming winter season,
This Program is a Fit.
PROGRAM PLAN
* Dynamic warm-up/preparation
* An introduction of basic running drills and mechanics that will address,
posture, and upper and lower body mechanics.to coordinated movements
* Aerobic and Anaerobic conditioning
* Hip mobility stations and sensory hops, jump circuits, and general strength.

Dates: September 10, 17, 24 | October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 |November 5
Location: Staples High School Track | Time: 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
We are currently at capacity!
Our program director is Coach Jesse McCray, the Head Coach of the Staples High School Girls Track and Field team.
Coaching will emphasize, the detailed progression of the young athlete. Supporting and building the confidence
of the athlete who may want to compete during the indoor track season later in the year.
Our young athletes will need the following items for the Series
Running shoes | Sweatpants or Leggings, Long sleeve tops (cool days of fall) | Water bottle
