She started playing lacrosse at age 11 for the RELAX (Redding and Easton Youth Lacrosse) program where she fell in love with the sport immediately. Chelsea played all throughout high school, at Joel Barlow and continued on to play at Lasell College. She was voted the captain of her team for both her senior year of high school and her senior year of college. Chelsea first began coaching in high school, helping with the RELAX program and continued coaching when she was in college. Chelsea returns for her 3rd year coaching with Westport PAL. Audra Whitmore • 3/4A Head Coach •
Audra was born and raised in Southport, CT. She is one of four siblings, all of whom grew up playing lacrosse. She began playing at Wakeman in 3rd grade and played on both travel teams. She continued to play in high school at Fairfield Ludlowe where her lacrosse career unfortunately ended due to a serious injury. She then went to college at Saint Joseph’s University where she was an elementary and special education double major and where she became the captain of her Cheerleading team. After graduating, she began teaching at Greens Farms Academy. She has coached Volleyball at GFA (one year as an Assistant Coach and one year as a Head Coach) and this is her second year as an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Lacrosse team. As a coach, she hopes to provide the girls with the opportunity to achieve their full potential, while helping them to grow as individuals both on and off the field. She believes that sports at this level should be fun, and a positive and inclusive experience for all children. She hopes to provide the girls with a love for physical fitness, team sportsmanship, personal goal setting, as well as lacrosse skills. She is very excited to meet the girls and begin working with them towards a successful season!
