Hi all,
Happy Spring Break!!!  With some of us traveling and some staycationing, there's some modification to this week's game and practice schedule that I see has been emailed to us.  Please, very important, make sure you RSVP for all of the games and practices listed below.  This can be done either by clicking on the links found in the automated emails sent to you or by opening the 7/8 B Team schedule on the Westport PAL website,  Thank you in advance.
Modified Game Schedulefor this Weekend:
Sunday (4/11) at New Fairfield HS (54 Gillotti Road, New Fairfield, CT):
1:00 - 2:00 (additional game)
7/8 B team with 7A team vs. New Fairfield 7A team
2:30 - 4:00 (originally scheduled)
7/8 B team vs. New Fairfield 7 Blue team
4:00 - 5:00 (Optional, RSVP directly to
7/8 B team with 7A & 8A team vs. New Fairfield 8A team
Modified Practice Schedulefor this Week:
Tuesday, 4/13:  6:30-7:30 at Ginny Parker Field, SHS

* COVID Quarantines - With a recent uptick in local cases and a greater number of students/classes in quarantine, please remember that if a school nurse directs your player to quarantine from school, she CANNOT attend sports practices/games during that time. Please alert in these instances.

Lacrosse Rules:  For anyone that is curious about girls lacrosse rules, Spring Break is a perfect time to study up!  Please check out our Girls Lacrosse Basics located on our website as well as rules specific to your age group attached below (hint:  Lightning U10 = 3rd and 4th grade, Juniors U12 = 5th and 6th grade, Seniors U14 = 7th and 8th grade).

Dear Westport Girls Lacrosse Players,


Games are ON for this weekend with modified schedules. We’re combining teams to provide extra playing time and ensure our opponents a good match. Schedule below based on RSVP’s, please contact Amy with any questions. 

We need at least 5 players for Sunday’s 8A game at 4:00 (It’ll be the 3rd game that day for you!)

We have 1 game over the first weekend of spring break, and we want to be sure we’ll have enough players.  Please RSVP BY TUESDAY 12:00 NOON.
  1. Via the website RSVP system - you will receive an email asking for your RSVP for the game. Please reply by clicking YES or NO.

RSVPs: You should have begun receiving automated RSVP messages 48 hours before practices and games. Please get in the habit of clicking the Green “Yes, I can make it” or Red “No, I cannot make it” button in your email. It is TREMENDOUSLY useful for coaches, an essential for game roster make-up.
If you use the SI Play APP, you can RSVP there as well.  Our Coaches use these responses to plan practices and lineups for games. If there is no reply…..the coach can’t plan!

Meet Your Coaches/Team Schedule/Calendar:  Coaches are listed on the website.  Check them out on your team page. While you are at it, stream your schedule right to your calendar so that you get all updates automatically
Your team page can be accessed at any time from our webpage (
  1. On our website, click on TEAM in the top banner. Choose your team, i.e. Lacrosse 2021 → Travel → Westport PAL Girls 7A.
  2. In the left hand menu choose, you can choose SCHEDULE, CONTACTS, ROSTER, etc.
  3. To stream your calendar: On the SCHEDULE page go to “Options” and select “Calendar Feed” to add your schedule to your personal electronic calendar.
Upcoming Practices:
  • This week we are scheduled to have practice: Monday 4/5, 6-7:30pm @ Wakeman Field A and Wednesday 4/7, 6-7:30pm at Ginny Parker Field.
  • Early is on time! Arrive dressed and ready to play 10 minutes before practice start time.
  • Please bring: lacrosse stick, eye guard, molded mouthguard, face mask, clearly-labeled water bottle, pinnie & cleats/turf shoes/sneakers. Warm clothes (hats and gloves too) as needed.
    • Always wear a pinnie to every practice. It doesn’t have to be the team pinnie or even a lacrosse pinnie, any pinnie with white and a dark color on the other side works.
Upcoming Games:
  • Sunday, April 11, Westport v New Fairfield, 2:30pm (arrive at 2:00pm), @ New Fairfield HS (54 Gillotti Road, New Fairfield, CT).
  • Early is on time! Please arrive 30 minutes in advance of the game dressed and ready to play. Players arriving late will not start.
  • Girls will wear pinnies for uniforms.
  • Please bring: lacrosse stick, eye guard, molded mouthguard, face mask, clearly-labeled water bottle, pinnie & cleats/turf shoes/sneakers.  Warm clothes (hats and gloves too) as needed.
Please remember that all COVID-19 protocols are in effect. Players and coaches will wear masks at ALL TIMES! We ask that you strictly adhere to our COVID-19 protocols so that we can have a safe & fun season!
